To play Abdim7, the Ab diminished seventh chord, you need Ab, Cb, Ebb and Gbb, the root, minor third, flat five and diminished seventh.
All 5 voicings are fretted without a barre, and none uses an open string. In sound, Abdim7 is the vii chord of A harmonic minor, even though that key spells it with different letters. Where a half-diminished chord keeps a minor seventh, the fully diminished chord lowers the seventh once more.
Abdim7 has the same pitches as the vii chord of A harmonic minor, and the A harmonic minor scale contains all four of them. The mic check in the player at the top listens while you play, so you can see whether every string of the shape sounds.
Ab diminished 7th guitar chord is also written as Abdim7, Ab°7 or Abo7. It is also known as the Ab fully diminished seventh chord.
